The Wedding Planner Magazine is THRILLED to introduce Gail Ray as the newest addition to our Creative Team. Gail will be our Style Editor for The Southern West Virginia issue and we are so excited at the value she will add to our team.

Gail was born and raised in Southern West Virginia and is the owner of Mia Bella Originals Interior Decorating and Event Planning. She knew from a young age that she loved design and had an innate talent for creating something from nothing. Planning and organizing is instinctive to Gail and complements her creative skills for event planning.

Gail has a degree in Business Management, has worked in the Interior Design field for over fifteen years and has been planning events since her early twenties. She is a skilled carpenter, floral designer, seamstress and painter and uses these talents to tailor every project to her client’s needs.

Whether it is interior decorating or event planning, Gail attributes the success of her business to God and her ability to “see” something in everything, focus on her client’s vision and deliver positive results while keeping comfort, style and budget in balance.

I am a motivated, loyal and creative person.  You get a new friend, a wedding partner and a true professional when you work with me.

The Ankrum/Antolini wedding was featured in The Wedding Planner of Southern WV and the Great Gatsby wedding was featured in WV South.

Gail Ray, Owner

I like the quote by J.W.V. Goethe, “Great results can only be obtained through great passion!”

Mia Bella Originals was founded by Gail Ray and is located in Daniels WV.  We are a full service event planning and interior decorating company.

“Mia Bella Originals” translates to “My Beautiful Originals”.  God has blessed me with the ability to “see” potential in everything and my ultimate objective on every job is to make the client happy.  I thrive on producing unique, unusual and one-of-a-kind things and often draw from nature for inspiration.

I have a broad set of skills including carpentry, floristry, sewing, and painting, along with the ability to organize and multi-task.  We custom build many of the pieces used in our decorating projects.  Often we re-purpose items the client already has to keep down cost and still provide a new space.

I have over 15 years of experience decorating for others and planning events and I focus on what each individual client wants and strive to make it happen, keeping comfort, style and budget in balance.

Tim & Maria Cuthbertson

"Loved working with Gail and her crew.  They were very easy to work with.  They listened to our wants and needs to help make the wedding of our dreams come true.  It was perfect!"

I met Tim Cuthbertson and Maria Louisos at the 2014 bridal fair held at the Tamarack in Beckley.  I could tell from the start that they were a fun and vibrant couple and wanted a wedding that was "out of the ordinary".  They lived and owned a business in North Carolina but, wanted to plan a Great Gatsby themed wedding to be held at Glade Springs for July of 2014.  They hired me as their day-of coordinator and added extra services such as liaison between them and the venue, since they lived out of state, and meetings with the cake baker and florist.
Their wedding included guests from the local and surrounding area as well as out of town.  I worked closely with the mother of the groom in designing a "secret" timeline in order for her to surprise the bride and groom with special toasts and  a video montage.
A particular moment that was special to me was during one of our bridal meetings.  We were sitting by my fish pond, eating homemade raspberry cupcakes, drinking sweet tea and listening to the waterfall cascade down next to us and Maria said, "This is so relaxing".  That is what it is all about, I thought.  Making the client happy, stress-free and relaxed.
This fun, beautiful wedding was featured in the August/September 2014 edition of WV South magazine which is published by The Register-Herald.
